Do you have a passion for providing financial direction and ensuring compliance? Do you have the ability to create a financial overview and guarantee accurate and timely reporting? If so, we offer you a dynamic role in ensuring adherence and compliance to accounting policies and GAAP/IFRS regulations reporting directly to the NNE US General Manager. You will be responsible for leading the Finance team (1 direct report), which includes accounting. finance and quality, while actively engaging with colleagues in Denmark and the Accounting Shared Service Center in India. You will oversee all general accounting operations, including financial reporting, tax reporting, compliance, cash management, and local tax activities. The position requires you can familiarize yourself with complex issues, dig into the details, and be ready to challenge the organization where necessary.

How you might spend your days

You will guide and support your team in a dynamic environment. Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Partner with leadership on critical decisions providing financial input that impact growth and sustainability
  • Meet or exceed target financial results through resource planning, utilization reporting, expense control, cash flow management, and forecasting
  • Coordinate, prepare, and review all monthly and year-end financials with consideration to segregation of duties and internal control compliance
  • Lead all activities related to internal / external audits, non-compliance findings and annual quality management review
  • Proactively prepare high-quality financial reporting supporting business decisions
  • Provide financial update and hold business areas accountable for performance and advise management on required interventions
  • Develop and drive strong finance processes for planning, budgeting, and target-setting
  • Lead employee compensation effort in collaboration with HR
  • In addition, you will be involved in ad hoc financial analyses as well as be responsible for the ongoing development of employees, process optimization, implementation of new standards, and financial planning/reporting.

The miles you’ve walked

To apply for the position there are some things that are needed, and others are a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:

  • Obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • More than two (2) years of management experience within accounting, preferably from a project-oriented or consultancy services organization
  • The ability to safeguard internal compliance while contributing to the solution of specific tasks
  • Strong accounting competencies and a solid understanding of GAAP and IFRS principles
