About the role
As a PhD student in Construction, Commissioning, and HSE Management at
Novo Nordisk Engineering, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful
execution of our pharmaceutical engineering projects. Working alongside
experienced Construction Managers & Engineers, you'll be part of our
Project Execution team, which consists of approximately 250 highly skilled
project employees, including 75 construction, commissioning, and HSE managers.
In this role, you'll have a unique opportunity to apply your expertise
and knowledge to real-world projects within the pharmaceutical industry. You'll
be instrumental in optimizing construction workflows, enhancing project
coordination, and ensuring the safety and quality of our project sites.
One
of the key aspects of your role will be to leverage your data analysis and
software development skills to help us set up a cutting-edge 4D/5D platform. By
integrating data analytics and advanced visualization techniques, you'll
contribute to the development of an interactive platform that enables us to
visualize project timelines, simulate construction sequences, and enhance
planning and coordination efforts.
As a PhD student, you need to make sure your

How you might spend your days
As a member of our team, you'll play a vital
role in ensuring safe construction and commissioning sites that deliver
high-quality results on time by, you’ll be:
- Implementing tools like Revit, Plant 3D, and Navisworks to optimize construction workflows and enhance project coordination.
- Exploring AI technologies to automate processes, improve predictive maintenance, and enhance project decision-making.
- Utilizing 4D/5D modeling tools to visualize project timelines and simulate construction sequences for better planning and coordination.
- Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards to monitor project progress, performance metrics, and key indicators, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Using technology to automate quality inspections and checks, ensuring adherence to standards and specifications.
- Leveraging MS Project and Primavera P6 for project scheduling and tracking, optimizing resource allocation and timeline management.
- Applying data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization, improving project efficiency and delivery.
Who you are
As a PhD, your
expertise in IT tools and technology integration will play a crucial role in
advancing our construction and commissioning processes. With a focus on digitalization,
you'll have the opportunity to integrate tools like Revit, Plant 3D, NAVIS
Works, MS Project, and Primavera to optimize workflows and streamline project
coordination. Your familiarity with 4D/5D modeling tools will help you create
interactive project timelines and simulate construction sequences for better
planning. Your interest in Power BI dashboards will be important for
visualizing project data and making decisions. Being able to automate quality
checks and use project scheduling tools like MS Project and Primavera will make
project work more efficient and effective. Through data analysis, you'll
identify opportunities for process optimization, ultimately improving project
outcomes and supporting our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality
projects on time.
For this position, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented PhD
student who possesses a strong curiosity and a keen eye for technology. You
should have a genuine interest in construction technology, AI, 4D/5D modeling,
and Power BI, with a desire to apply these skills in a real-world construction
and commissioning environment. This role requires a motivated individual who is
eager to gain hands-on experience and contribute to innovative projects within
our department.

- Master’s degree in Architectural Technology and Construction Management, Data Science/Analytics, Data Engineering, IT & Automation,
- Fluent in English – please submit your CV in English
